Boy has it been a long time since the Ducky has updated this Journal 
It’s been since what, Easter? 
The Ducky is SUCH a procrastinator!!! 
But at least ya can see more Darkwing Duck and Negaduck Screenies!! And it’s almost time for summer! 
Anyways, I would love to wish the following Darkwing Duck friends a Very Happy Birthday and I hope your day is as special as you are 
and to
Happy Birthday!!

Boy this month has been tough on the Ducky with all the funerals I have been attending lately. Three funerals in two months!! First me uncle’s mother passed away at the age of 92, me grandfather’s next door neighbor passed way at the age of 82, and now me grandfather’s sister passed away at the age of 90. With the first two, death came quick and sudden for them and they did not suffer or feel any pain. Me uncles mom passed away of a heart attack while bathing her wee doggie, who was adopted by me uncle’s cousin. Me grandfather’s next door neighbor also died from a fatal heart attack, but she did have a lot of complications with her diabetes. They both lived full and independent lives right up to the end. Unfortunately for my Aunt Ginny (Virginia) she was fully independent up until that first stroke which left her paralyzed, but she could still get around. After the second and third stroke, she had to be confined to a nursing home. She died peacefully in her sleep at midnight on Sunday May 3.
For all you car buffs out there like The Ducky, the funeral parlor, Sweeney’s in Riverside, New Jersey actually has a 1957 Chevy Belair Hurst!! How cool is that!!
And the flower car was a 1965 Chevy Impala!!!
Those cars really sounded great when they were started up!!!
The Ducky FINALLY MET AN INTERNET BUDDY Face to Face!! 
Like the Ducky has been conversing with many of you through comments on artwork either on DeviantART or Furaffinity, or both, the Ducky has been commenting on the fine art and photography of wildlife of Ixbalam of Furaffinity.net. He knows just how much The Ducky loves wildlife, and he said why don’t ya come up to the Basha Kill Wildlife Preserve up in upstate New York I NY He’s a pretty nice guy and is one of the volunteers at the Basha Kill in which he is responsible for setting up the scopes on the multiple nests of eagles, ospreys, and other wildlife in the marsh. Also, he is very knowledgeable about the birds and wildlife that call the Basha Kill home. For your information, the word “kill” is Dutch for creek, river, or stream, and since New York was first settled by the Dutch, every creek and river is called a “kill.”
The Ducky is not totally giving up on White City Lake, but I think I would rather devote my love and attention to volunteering and working side by side with other people who care about the marsh as I do. At White City, ya don’t have any co-volunteers to help keep the place clean, ya have constant drug dealers who use the park for their transactions, ya don’t have the co-operation of Hamilton Township when a clean up was done, and further, the police don’t actively patrol the park. And besides a 6 lane highway divides the marsh in half!

At least at the Basha Kill, although it’s about a 2 ½ hour drive from Burlington (really 3 hours since Burlington is further south), it’s well worth the trip to be in the company of fellow birders, who I can really learn a lot from, and the place is relatively clean, not to mention ya don’t have to look at a highway!! It’s abundant with wildlife and people use the marsh solely for recreation and birding. The volunteers are warm and friendly and treat ya like family. There is plenty of hiking, and afterwards, ya can eat at Danny’s Restaurant which is an old tavern that was built in the mid 1800’s.

(1) I love Darkwing Duck and Negaduck! I love watching the cartoons, collecting any available merchandise including animation cels and comic books.
I also love to practice drawing the Mighty Masked Mallards as well! It is so much fun and it’s so relaxing!
I still have a lot to learn about drawing characters, as I have always just drawn backgrounds in the past. I have to learn perspective, practice more on the hands, and learn how to draw more than one character in a scene.
(2) Hiking and bird watching is another favourite and relaxing hobby for the Ducky. Although I can’t go to Vermont any more
because of my cat
having diabetes, and he requires a daily injection, I can only take day trips. As mentioned above, Ixbalam introduced me to the Basha Kill, which is a perfect Saturday get away for the ducky. And as ya all know, I also enjoy feeding and watching the birdies in me backyard
(3) I love to listen to music!!

I really love all kinds of music, with the exception or rap!! I really can’t stand that stuff, but I have to listen to a wide variety of all different types of music. That’s why I really can’t stand to listen to a radio station, not only because of all the advertisements 
but they may only play like a few songs from a favourite artist of mine (like Neil Young, for example, they will only play Southern Man and Heart of Gold—excuse me, Neil Young had a lot more hits than those two songs!!) and ya hear the same music over and over. Well with me hard drive and I just love Window’s Media Player, I have loaded all kinds of music from many different artists and groups from ABBA to ZZ Top. So one song ya may be listening to the Carpenters, “For All We Know,” and the next maybe AC/DC “Cover You in Oil,” to Glenn Miller’s “Midnight Summer’s Serenade.” So ya never quite know what the next song will be, I love hearing music from the 1940’s to the 1990’s!!
(4) I just love restoring old houses, it’s really a passion with the Ducky!! I really enjoy restoring my house that was built in the 1880’s back to the way it looked when it was built. No modern stuff for this ducky (with the exception of me computer of course but I still do have rotary phones!!!!!!!!!), I have replaced the modern vinyl windows with the old fashioned but thermal pane Pella wooden windows, the woodwork is all original including the doors and trim, which I am painstakingly stripping of the paint, and I have restored all the original yellow-pine floors. And of course, all the furniture in the house is “
eriod” furniture that was passed down from the generations in me family and all of it does match when the house was built.
(5) As ya all of you know that know the Ducky, I have a severe case of Darkwing Duck Syndrome!! Yuppers!! I tend to be happy then I get suddenly sad and depressed, and I do tend to rush into situations without thinking of the consequences, just like Darkwing Duck. I also have that famous obsessive-compulsive behavior of Darkwing Duck, where I simply will not rest until the streets of Burlington are clean and free of litter!!! Yuppers, I still walk the streets at night with me grabbers, picking up litter that idiots has thrown on the streets just because they can’t throw it in a garbage can!! It’s really ridiculous!!!
(6) One thing about the ducky is that I HATE TO DRESS UP!!! I hate suits, button down shirts with ties, dress shoes, and dress socks!! I really hate it all!!! It’s like every time the DUCKY MUST wear that stuff for a funeral, I simply can’t wait UNTIL I get out of it!!!! Give this ducky a regular t-shirt, blue jeans, and hiking boots any day!!!! And at work 
thank GOD we are allowed to wear knit collar pull over shirts (like a golf shirt) and Dockers or khakis pants are allowed, and of course I do wear me hiking boots for ankle support!!!
(7) The Ducky is quite religious, and I am quite active in Saint Mary’s Episcopal Church. I am an acolyte and I love serving on the Altar, being a Crucifer, or a torch bearer. It’s really a joy to serve Father Haynes and God! I always pray the rosary and say prayers to the Saints.
(8) Well, as ya know I do volunteer in cleaning up the streets of Burlington, but also keeping White City Park clean as well. But as mentioned above, I am now focusing me attention on volunteering for the Basha Kill. I am much happier working side by side with other volunteers who truly love birding and nature as much as I do, and at the Basha Kill, everyone appreciates the work ya do in keeping it clean and pristine. At White City, I am practically the only one trying to keep it clean, and as soon as I do a pick up, there are either dumpers or people who throw their garbage right behind me, and worse, I don’t have the support of either the neighborhood, or the municipality. Once, Mat and I did a major clean up of tires, shopping carts, and all kinds of other stuff, we piled it nicely on the beaches of White City Lake, and we called Hamilton Township to come pick it up! THEY DIDN’T!!!!!!!!!!!Clubs I proudly belong, to:
